A Lady dressed all in white!
Sister Lucia, one of the three children who saw Our Lady in Fatima, described the Mother of God as “a Lady dressed all in white, brighter than the sun, spreading light brighter and more intense than a crystal glass filled with crystalline water, crossed by the rays of the most burning sun.”
On May 13, 1917, after attending Mass, Lucia de Jesus, age ten, Francisco Marto, age nine, and Jacinta Marto, age seven, went out to tend their flock of sheep, on the lands that belonged to Lucia’s father, in a place called Cova da Iria. The Virgin Mary, standing upon a holm oak, and appearing to the three shepherds from May to October, asked for prayer, penance, and conversion. By fulfilling Mary’s request, let us begin our journey to increase our devotion to our Heavenly Mother.
“Pray the Rosary every day in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary, in order to obtain peace for the world and the end of the war.”
